My hubby and I tied the knot; and became hubby and wify.
Being a Canadian Citizen and my hubby being from the United States it was a long road that we traveled to get to this day; but it was all worth it!
We dated almost three years before hubby popped the question, and this was only after asking my Dad for permission. How sweet eh!
The day my hubby purposed he wasn't even able to hold my hand, he had poison ivy.
Our wedding rings are made of white gold and shaped in the form of little penguins. "Penguins mate for life"
One day I'd like to get my hubby's name tattooed on my ring finger...but I have to get up the nerve (low pain tolerance) and the monies to do so.
We were originally going to get a spousal visa before having our wedding in Canada, but after realizing it would take me twice as long to cross the boarder into the United States as his wify, we opted for a fiancée visa instead.
We did get married in Canada, in front of all our family and friends; but the government does not recognize this day as our wedding day.
Hubby and I believe in the eyes of God on this day we were ONE for life!
