Six months ago my Grandpa went to be with his savior/friend Jesus and was reunited with his beautiful wife {my Grandmother} who passed away five years before him.
They were married for 53 years before my Grandma passed away.
Now their life wasn't always butterflies and sweet smelling roses {although I do fondly remember my Grandma having sweet pink roses beside their one home.} You could tell they had a deep devotion to each other and the promise they made to God on the day they said I DO!
My Grandma was only 18 when they got married....{crazy eh!}
My Grandparents cared about each other deeply and you could tell by their words AND by their actions.
My Grandma was on an oxygen tank and had a hard time getting around during her last few years of life, this was hard on my Grandpa but never did I hear him grumble or complain. He was always by her side! If she needed help getting up stairs, too the car or if she wanted a particular brand of soup from the store - he did his best to help her in any way he could.
That's Unconditional love in action!
I really miss these two wonderful people so much, they were an inspiration to me and many others.
Their legacy will live on & one day I will see them again!
♥Alicia
