Anyways...I visited a blog that started a Show Us Your Life - Proposal Stories and since I'm having a hard time trying to decided what to post about this week I wanted to join in on this fun.
My proposal store is short...not a whole lot to tell... very un-interesting and common.....umm yeah no actually it was everything but original. My hubby is the kind of man that puts a lot of thought in to something, and a lot of thought in to every little detail surrounding that something and he also likes to be very sneaky. A line my hubby used on me a few times while we were dating was "Expect the Unexpected!" So needless to say...this is our very uninteresting story. July 2nd 2004 my family and I were visiting my hubby and his family down in PA. My hubby and I lived a total of 6-7 hours away from each other while dating so being together in person was always extra special without anything else added on to it. So anyways..July 2nd we took a road trip up to "Long Wood Gardens." Once there my hubby and I decided to walk around alone to catch up.. while my parents and bro walked in another direction. I didn't know it then but the whole time we walked around every time we stopped my hubby was assessing the area to decided if this is were he wanted to pop the question. At one point since the hubby had posin ivy all over his hands instead of holding my hand he hooked his finger on to my pocket. (This is how he accomplished part of his plan and stuck something little and round in my pocket.) Once the hubby found the perfect place to purpose...he got down on his knee's pulled out the little red box...and popped the question. Now of course I said yes-opened the box and found.......paper......real paper folded up really tight and shaped in the a circle like a ring. He had done it again caught me off guard.
See photos below...
5 years later we re-visited that exact bench where it all happened. :)
haha...that is so cute.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute story! To answer your question. I loved the movie and I liked the book. In the book she is a whole heck of a lot meaner to her husband than she is in the movie. I just like the Amy Adams, Julie Powell so much that I didn't like some of the real Julie Powell's attitude. Does that make sense?
