3 days till a whole new year begins

Well I am very frustrated right now, I just spent an hour or so typing up paragraphs about my Christmas day events, what has happened so far in Canada and it all diapered. I even spent time spell checking it and re-reading it. Now I know that nothing is ever perfect but I am very ready for bed and I thought I was a lot closer to heading there then I now am.

Well I guess I will start over and start by telling you why I am so pooped. Today was a very long day...exciting and boring all at the same time. This morning my Hubby and I woke up around 4ish, loaded up the car, turned out our apartment lights and headed for Canada. Now my Hubby had to add some anti-freeze and get gas so by the time we actually got on the highway it was after 5:30am. Not to bad but it took us till 4pm to get to my parents. We did stop a few times to eat and once so my Hubby could do some sleeping...he was struggling so much with staying awake that we just had to stop even though we both wanted to keep going. That put us back 45minutes but we got here safe. Now so far since I've been home, I've gotten to visit with my mom, dad, bro and I even got to see three of my little cousins...who to be honest aren't so little anymore. The oldest (who is now eight) and I played the game of life. It was a lot of fun, I remember watching him as a baby and he has grown to be such a smart and kind little man. He was reading most of the squares without help and even doing most of the math all on his own as well...it kind of blew me away. I know his parents must be so proud of him. Now the other two little boys have changed so much too. The youngest one has gotten so much more hair then when I saw him before and he just loves his brothers. He was all huggy and cuddly with the oldest durning the movie...very cute. The middle boy is talking so much more clearly and has gotten taller from what I remember but is still as funny as ever. It was nice getting to spend some time with them. Hopefully my hubby and I will get over to the boy's house sometime over the next few days to visit some with my uncle and aunt as well. There is always so many people I want to see when I come back home but there never seems to be enough time its kind of disappointing.

Well now I hope everyone had a great Christmas. My hubby and I entertained his parents and bro from Christmas eve night till the day after Christmas. They camped out in our living room on the futon and the floor. It was a lot of fun and it was very relaxing for everyone. My hubby and I decided to keep the tradition of opening up p.j's on Christmas eve alive and went and bought p.j's for his family and each other. I think they enjoyed the tradition and I'm glad they were willing to go along with it even thought it was so late. We didn't get to open the p.j's till almost 11:50 (10 minuets before Christmas day) lol and we were all pretty well in other p.j's by then too. I found some really cool penguin p.j's from target for my hubby and it was so hard keeping them a secret from him for the weeks that I had them hidden. I have a lot of trouble keeping secrets from my hubby..specially when its something I am very excited about.
