18 Months...

Kaylin today you are 18 months old.  It is so hard to believe a year and a half has gone by already since the day we first got to see you face to face.  

The day you were born you weighed in at 7lbs 8oz

Today you are weighing in at 23lbs 4oz

The day you were born you were 19.5" long

Today you are 31.5" long

The day you were born your head was 34 cm

Today it is 45cm

You are 50th percentile on all of your stats. Your healthy. Sleeping from 8pm till around 630-7am. Taking one 2 to 3 hour nap a day.  Nursing before nap and before bed still.  I did want to ween you from this by your 18th month birthday but....yeah.  We are in the process of potty training but not pushing it to much.  You love blues clues...and lala {Elmo}...being out side....and eating cheese!! 

You are also the biggest helper...even if it means spilling your juice on purpose in order to wipe it up.  You understand the word no and whenever you see something we have told you in the past no too you will look at it sign and say no..no...no.  If we put you on a time out and you feel your time should be up before we do...you will look at us with stretched out arms and say ug ug..{hug}.  You always get a hug and kiss after time out. You always get an after bath hug as well. You are growing up to be such sweet & pretty little girl....

Baby K

I think the time change has effected Baby K a little bit.  She was tired a whole hour before her regular nap time and no matter what I tried she just wasn't having it. She just wanted to cuddle nurse and fall asleep. {Yes I still nurse her before nap and bed.} So since Baby K is sound asleep in the next room. I thought perhaps a blog post would be in order for today. 


Keeping on the topic of my sweet baby girl. She has been really been showing her Daddy and I that she is watching us..and watching closely.  Just last week baby K was watching me unload the dishwasher. This is her favorite thing in the world.  I went around the corner to put away a mug in our fabulous mug rack. When I returned to the kitchen Baby K was standing under the utensil drawer, plastic spoon in hand drying soo desperately to get it in the drawer on her own.  She 13 months old! What is up with that! :)


Yesterday again I was emptying the dishwasher and Baby K came waddling in from the living room and started taking dishes out. This time the dishes did not hit there regular spot on the floor. She actually held the dishes up and passed them to me and I'd put them away. 

Sorry for the photo quality... we had to take it fast. She loves to help and mimic but only for so long. :)

I really do hope this love for being Mommies or Daddies helper in the kitchen or anywhere doesn't fade with age but what would the chances of that be.
