On September 21 2009 at 38 weeks preggo I went into labor and my daughter Kaylin was born. This unfortunately was very unexpected timing for me and caught me off gaurd and unprepared. To be honest I don't remember contracting much that night and too be even more honest I think I slept well too so to me my body was not telling me it was almost time.

What was different about that morning that started all the commotion was waking up for one of my normal washroom visits and finding myself unable to stop going. At first I was a little confused, {It was five-six o'clock and since I'm not a morning person I'm very slow this time of day!} and my first thought was maybe I just really need to go, but it then dawned on me that I wasn't going to the washroom, my water had broken. So there I was in the wee hours of the morning, trying not to leak all over the house while randomly throwing stuff in my hospital bag and freaking out because we hadn't even taken the car seat out of it's box yet. What a way to start off the end of a pregnancy eh.
Well I did learn a lesson from all that and this time around at only 35 weeks I have my bag 95% packed, all the baby cloths are washed and put away, diapers are bought and this week my goal is to get the car seat out of storage and in to it's place in our car. As interesting of a birth story my lack of preparedness made it my first time around, I do not want to go in to labor and re-live those first moments in such utter chaos again.
I kind of like this feeling of being more prepared and ready for the date of our new little girls arrival.
