From the mouth of babes

3.27.2012

I don't mean to brag but my daughter is one smart cookie!
At just two and a half years old her rapidly growing vocabulary has been quite a surprise to us.....
and according to a little report done by her fabulous babysitter Kaylin is a "Stage IV" for her "Mean Length Utterances"{Meaning of MLU threw wikipedia} which usually doesn't occurs in children until they are between 35 and 40 months old.
 Now her smarts I know she inherited from her daddy,
{I usually brought home c's or d in school *blush*}
but her outgoing talkativeness I sometimes wonder where she picked that up.  I'm the complete opposite of outgoing and her daddy isn't the most outgoing ether.
Now don't get me wrong I'm very glad she is more outgoing then I am.
Sometimes I really hate how shy and quite of a person I am and would rather she was more unlike me in many ways.
Here are a few examples of Kaylin's vocabulary at work from the past week or so;

After trying to teach her Mommy and her are girls and Daddies a boy Kaylin said-
"Daddies a man, daddies a big big man"
One morning after she just woke up we hear -"Mommy, Mommy..........are you listening to me?"
"Lunch time" Kaylin shouted from her play kitchen then she brought some toys over to me and stated "Mommy eat sheep & penguin!"
She's really growing up way to fast!!
