High Five For Friday

I love Fridays!

Although I'm not to sure why they excite me as much they do, perhaps it's because the hubby will be home for two full days and I love taking little weekend day trips with him and our little lady.
Perhaps it's the fact that groceries usually get done on Saturdays and I LOVE grocery shopping...yes I'm weird that way.

Anyways,
Here is a list of 5 of my favorite things from this week;

1. Warmer weather.  So much for our PA ground hog seeing his shadow and predicting 6 more weeks of winter....cause around here it's been feeling a lot more like spring and I'm loving it! It was even in the 70's yesterday can you believe it.
{sorry to all my Canadian friends and family, I know a bunch of you are covered in cold white stuff right now.}

2.  My little ladies expanding word and sentence usage.  This past week we had to take my in-laws to the airport and while waiting around to make sure they got on the plain ok, we allowed our daughter to roam free in the backseat of our car. {yes our car was parked.} During these moments of freedom from her seat she did the cutest thing. She stuck her head in between the two front seats looked at her daddy and I and said "Hello friends!" My heart melted.  We have also caught her talking on her toy phone as if she's actually having a full blow conversation with someone.
Example "Hello? ... Oh good! ... You fall down?"

3. Daffodiles.  My in-laws who are currently enjoying warm sunny Flordia, brought the hubby and I a small bouquet of daffodil steams to watch bloom and enjoy.  It took just a day or two for them all to be in full bloom.

4. The old classic version of "The Parent Trap" which I found at Target just yesterday.
I love old movies.

5. Haircuts. Well it's actually not happening till tomorrow morning but I'm going shorter and I can't wait.

This is how long my hair is now...

This is the picture I'm taking to the hair dresser. We'll see what she can do.

  2. I love that version of parent trap!! Also it seems our girls are on teh same page with their blossoming vocabularies and you are so right, the new phrases they put together are sooooo melt your heart precious!! Just this morning D was sitting on the couch eating and my sis-in-law's dog kept trying to take her food. D held up her finger and shook it in the dog's face and said, "Rywa (Ryla) down. Daisy eat." I was SO impressed!! lol I wanna see that hair cut!!
