Thinking of you today

Im sitting here fighting back tears. Over at Shasher's Life a post was written in honor of my Grandma {her mommy in law} that just kinda tugged at my heart a little bit.  

You see on this day five years ago my sweet Grandma left this earth and went to be with her savior and friend Jesus.  It still hurts to think she is no longer with us but I do know where she is and it's a much better place where all her physical suffering is no more.  

My Grandma was a special lady.  She loved God with all her heart. She enjoyed music and playing hymns on the piano.  Drinking tea with milk and baking all sorts of goodies and making jams {I loved watching her do this.} She would knit little sweaters and booties for her grandkids and the little ones in her church. I have so many special memories of her stored up in my heart. She is missed by a lot of people!  

This moment I do not remember on my own but my very first bath was given to me in the hospital by my Grandma. She just happen to be the nurse on duty the night my mom went in to labor with me.  

My Baby K's middle name is not only in honor of her Nana but her Great-Grandma she never got to meet.  Joy!
